Roost Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 4 October 2026 · Last updated: 4 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Meeri for your use of Roost, a guest house and hotel management app. By signing in or using Roost, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Roost.
Who we are
Meeri is the maker of Roost, run by an individual (sole proprietor) based in
Peshawar, Pakistan.

Who may use Roost
Roost is a tool for running a property. You may use it if you are at least 18 years old and are allowed to act for the guest house or hotel you set up. By creating an account you confirm this.
Your account
- You sign in with your Google account. Keep that account secure; you are responsible for what happens under it.
- Each Roost account is for one person and one property. Please do not share your sign-in with others.
- Tell us promptly at supportmeeri@gmail.com if you think someone else has used your account.
Your data and your guests' data
Your business's data belongs to you, not to us. We store and protect it so you can run your property. We do not sell it, and we never use it to choose ads.
Roost lets you record information about your guests, including names, phone numbers and email addresses, and — if you choose — national ID or passport details and photographs. For that information:
- You are responsible for collecting it lawfully: telling your guests what you record and why, and having a proper reason to hold it under the laws that apply to you.
- Record only what you really need. Identity documents are sensitive; do not keep them longer than you must.
- You decide what to collect and what to share. Meeri only stores it for you and uses it only to run Roost for you.
What we collect and how it is protected is in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Roost is free; ads and a subscription
- Roost is free to use today, with no limits on rooms, bookings or guests.
- To pay for running Roost, the free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Ads are chosen from your device, never from your business data. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
- You can buy an optional subscription that removes ads (monthly or yearly). The price, length and what is included are shown clearly before you buy. You can also switch ads off for 24 hours by choosing to watch one ad.
- We plan to offer a desktop version of Roost that will use a subscription; its terms will be shown before it starts.
- Subscriptions are sold and charged through Google Play (or the store you use). You can cancel any time in that store; cancelling stops future charges. The store's own refund rules apply, and we may also refund at our discretion.
- Your data is never deleted because a subscription ended or you never subscribed. If you stop paying, you go back to the free version with all your data intact.
- We may change prices for future periods; a change never affects a period you have already paid for. We will not make the app you use today unusable without telling you well in advance.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Roost for anything unlawful, or to store information you have no right to hold.
- Try to reach anyone else's data, or get around the app's protections.
- Copy, reverse engineer, resell or rent Roost, or use it to build a competing product.
- Upload viruses or harmful files, or interfere with how Roost works.
- Use bots or scripts that put unreasonable load on the service.
- Click or tap ads to cheat, or tamper with how ads are shown.
Working offline
Roost can keep working without internet and send your changes when you are online again. While offline, what you see is the data last saved on your phone, and other devices may have changed things meanwhile. When you reconnect, we send your changes in order. If something cannot be saved — for example a room was booked on another device first — Roost tells you and shows what needs your attention; nothing is silently changed or lost. Please check any items marked "needs attention". If you uninstall Roost or clear its data before changes have been sent, those changes are lost.
Service availability
We work to keep Roost available and reliable, but we cannot promise it will never be down or free of errors. Maintenance, updates and problems at our providers can cause interruptions. Roost is provided "as is".
Keep your own records. We make regular safety copies, but they are for our disaster recovery, not a replacement for yours. Do not rely on Roost as the only copy of records you are legally required to keep.
Third-party services
Roost depends on services we do not control: Supabase (database and storage), Google (sign-in, notifications, crash and usage information, ads), Google Play, and WhatsApp or other apps when you choose to share something. Their own terms apply to their services.
Our property
Roost, its name, logo, design and software belong to Meeri. These terms give you permission to use the app; they do not give you ownership of it. Your own content — your business's data — stays yours, and you give us only the permission needed to store and show it to you.
Ending your use
- You can stop using Roost at any time and delete your account and data from the app. Deletion is described in Delete Your Account or Data.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used unlawfully, or puts the service or other people at risk. Where it is reasonable, we will warn you first.
- If we close your account without good reason while you have a paid subscription, we will refund the unused part.
Limits on our responsibility
As far as the law allows, Meeri is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost bookings or lost data. While Roost is free, our total responsibility for any claim is limited to a small amount (PKR 1,000); once you pay for a subscription, it is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Roost grows, including when ads, subscriptions or the desktop version start. If a change matters, we will change the "Last updated" date and tell you in the app. If you keep using Roost after a change, you accept the new terms; if you do not agree, you can stop and delete your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Peshawar, Pakistan have jurisdiction over any dispute. Before going to court, please write to us at supportmeeri@gmail.com so we can try to sort it out.
